The Gospel – the “Good News” of Jesus Christ.
How God has acted in Christ to bring redemption to a fallen world through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
God is holy. We are sinful and separated from God.
—Romans 3:32 “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.”
Jesus, the Son of God, lived a perfect life.
—2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead.
—Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His love toward us, in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus is the only way to salvation.
—John 14:6 “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Salvation is a free gift by grace.
—Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast”
We are called to trust Jesus as Lord of our lives.
—Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
